Distillation

Distillation

The first distillation separates the alcohol from the fermented liquid and eliminates the residue of yeast and other matter. The distillate (see Feints) is then passed into another still where it is distilled a second time. At Talisker distillery, we manually control the temperature of the stills to make sure they’re boiling at the correct speed.
