Home Friends' Corner Donald's journey

THERE IS MORE TO SHARE IF YOU BECOME A FRIEND.

This summer I've had the privilege of visiting some of Scotland's finest classic malt distilleries, including the homes of Talisker, Lagavulin and Cardhu. I've had fun sharing a dram or two with the dedicated people behind this fantastic industry and have experienced the passion that goes into every bottle.  I'm really excited to be able to share this journey with you.

    COMING SOON

  • Our journey starts in Glasgow, in one of my favourite bars. Here I'll be introducing you to a couple of the celebrated whiskies that we'll be sharing along the way and I'll also be giving you a taster of what's to come in future episodes.

  • In this episode I travel to Islay’s rocky south coast to visit the Lagavulin distillery where I had the pleasure of sharing a dram of this year’s Special Releases with Dr Nick Morgan. I also had the chance to take in some of the fantastic bands at the Lagavulin Islay jazz festival.

  • In this episode I’m off to the beautiful Isle of Islay to share a taste of the deliciously smoky Lagavulin. And I’ve heard the team have a surprise in store for me.

  • My journey continues on the Isle of Skye – home of Talisker, the whisky made by the sea. I’ll be discussing the history and craft behind this wonderful, peppery whisky and sharing a dram with distillery manager Mark Lochhead.

  • In this final part of my journey, for now, I’m off to share a taste of The Singleton. I’ll be enjoying a dram or two of the single best single malt and discovering more about this smooth whisky in the idyllic Drummuir Castle.

  • Join me as I travel to Speyside, Scotland’s most famous whisky region, to share a taste of Cardhu – the whisky made for sharing. I’ll also be meeting Laura Sharp to find out more about this distillery’s vibrant history.
