"Seriously impressive. The combination of oils and soot stick to the palate."

The perfect

Talisker Skye works best served in a Talisker Rocks Glass, neat or with a little water.

When it comes to Talisker you can’t go past smoked salmon, the two are made for each other.

Skye's the Limit complements the powerful maritime flavours of Talisker Skye with sweet, subtly citrus flavours of Lillet Blanc for this stunning cocktail.

Talisker Skye On The Flavour Map
Taste the character and craft in every drop.

Smoky Rich Delicate Light

A lively character from the oldest distillery on Skye.

Bright 18 carat gold with polished copper lights.

The first glorious citrus sweetness of fresh oranges develops into soft mango. Maritime air with seaweed, driftwood and salt continue under.

Medium bodied and softly textured.

Soft and sweet at first, coating and tongue tingling, with light smoke. Quickly becomes more pungent and savoury with a hot spiciness.

Drier and of medium-length, with a lasting, smooth aftertaste, in which light peaty burnt embers can be found.

in brief… A compelling Talisker, sweet to start with light smoke, maritime intensity and a big, spicy hit of salt and pepper.

in a sentence… A well-balanced expression of powerful Talisker, capturing all the attractive traits that make this unique island malt unmistakeable in its well-resolved and lively interplay between sweetness, smoke and spice.

Starts gently with the glorious citrus sweetness of fresh oranges, a note which rapidly develops into orange oil and sweet, soft tropical mango. Behind this, there’s a maritime air with fresh seaweed, dry driftwood and sea salt, backed by classic Talisker notes of comforting smoke and a hint of struck match. More spice yields a peppery and slightly earthy nose-feel, like a sweet pepper soup. There’s also a sweet-sharp trace of toffee apple, or chocolate tart with some red berry fruit, then a cleansing note of eucalyptus . Water tames the spice and smoke, but the aroma remains maritime.

Soft and sweet at first, coating and tongue tingling, with very light smoke. That sweetness quickly becomes more pungent and savoury (salted caramels, honey glazed ribs on a barbecue) with subtle smoke (like a beach bonfire lit in the distance), and a hot spiciness.

Expert Reviews
Insights from some of the best in the business

"The latest release from Talisker is an NAS bottling which contains whisky matured in toasted and refill American oak casks. According to the distiller, this is “An easy-drinking Talisker…more approachable, but still definitely Talisker.” Certainly approachable on the nose, with tangerines, honey, and milk chocolate, before ozone and peat smoke develop. Ginger and a hint of coal tar. Medium-bodied, with citrus fruit and increasingly hot spices, though never overwhelming. Spicy peat, white pepper, and aniseed in a nutty finish."

Gavin Smith, Whisky Advocate Summer 2015

"Some people say that Scotch has lost its edge, especially compared to bigger, more bombastic world whiskies. They need to try this."

Neil Ridley 2015, Whisky Magazine, Issue 127

"This is an uncommonly sweet and fruity Talisker. Young alright, but the toasted oak works out quite well. A nice entry-level whisky and the best NAS so far from Talisker.", 2015

Inspired by a wild island – harsh weather conditions, rough rocks, mighty sea cliffs and sweeping sandy beaches – this is a whisky shaped by the elements.
