Convalmore 28 Years Old
 57.9%   |    70cl

An alluring, older malt that’s both complex and appealing. Fully mature, yet very much still fragrant and appetising, sweetly fruity and spicy, with good structure.

Taste the character and craft in every drop.

Region

Speyside

Appearance

Rich, deep-gold in colour.

Nose

Immediately appetising. Sweet perfume at first, suggesting glacé cherries or talcum powder. Then there's a compote of mixed fruits, with blood oranges, redcurrants and bananas. Water raises a dry, waxy aroma; behind this there's soft brown sugar atop an orange crème brûlée, and still the powdery perfume, edging now towards tangerine.

Body

Medium to rich in body, mouth-coating.

Palate

The flavour is sweet, then lightly spicy and dry, with good grip. There are cedar-wood, perfumed notes too and a slight smokiness. With water, flavours of toffee appear, turning to tangerine peel.

Finish

Medium length, leaving an attractive, perfumed, smoky-menthol aftertaste.
