Appearance

Polished copper with a shimmer of old gold.

Nose

Aromas from peat reek and bonfires carried by a salty wind from the sea. Briny, medicinal in a distinct iodine way, and gristy as fresh ground barley malt.

Body

Full bodied.

Palate

The clear peat and smoke flavours are perfectly balanced with other aromas spanning from subtle Oloroso sherry to citrus and black peppercorn, fresh grist, heather and vanilla.

Finish

Smoky, sea-salty and oak. Peppery with a hint of dark chocolate with a touch of fruity acidity. The sea is present all the time.
