The Singleton of Glen Ord 25 Years Old On The Flavour Map
Taste the character and craft in every drop.

Smoky Rich Delicate Light

Region

A taste of Speyside sophistication.

Appearance

Amber.

Nose

Some nose prickle, and a leading note of olive oil. Faint vegetable notes (traces of beeswax, eucalyptus, garden mint and honeysuckle) and a lightly smoky fragrance. Fruitiness develops in time: tomato, rhubarb, and crystalline greengages? With water, a blast of acetone, then an electric smokiness (old model railways) before it settles down to become sweeter (burnt sugar) and fruitier (boiled sweets, acid drops), still with a trace of hair lacquer.

Body

Textured, good bead. Smooth, even chewy.

Palate

Fresh, lively, appetising. Well-balanced primary tastes – light sweetness (honey and lemon juice), some acidity, and dry spices (cinnamon, ginger). As it develops it becomes slightly fatty, like a roasting tin.

Finish

Medium length; not complex, but crisp, smoky and dry.
