A Highland whisky with a lot of Oloroso influence.
Fresh sherry embraces the maltier, more honeyed aspects of Dalwhinnie. Peaty and surprisingly, still heathery. Spicy yet grapy.
Light to Medium.
A big, spicy buzz followed by an impressive build-up of very clear, well defined Scotch. After a quick burst of sweetness, a rich, grape effect moves in towards the middle.
Tons of oak. Very, very dry with vanilla dominating. The perfect dram for those in search of a very dry malt finish.

One of the closest aromas to walking into a Jerez bodega I have ever experienced. Heavy duty fresh sherry masks the maltier, more honied aspects of Dalwhinnie. The peat is still there and so, somewhat surprisingly, is the heather. Rather spicy but distinctly grapey.

"Equally honeyed; in fact here the finish (oloroso this time) seems to enhance the sweetness. Out comes Manuka honey, Greek yogurt, and heavy blossom notes while the sherry itself brings in a nutty, polished note. There’s just a hint of sulfur when you add water (Dalwhinnie is a sulfury new make). The finish is long with some Brazil nut. Try frozen with dessert."

"Matured in oloroso casks. The oloroso takes what is typically a pleasingly honeyed, but not particularly complex, malt and adds a layer of fruit to it. Crisp, clean notes of lemon, pineapple, and ginger, are softened by honeyed malt, vanilla, and hay. Soft, lingering finish."
