A Speyside that speaks for itself.
Old gold.
Clean and complex, with a rich fruitiness that suggests an older malt. Some soft fragrant notes too; scented leather, subtle sandalwood and vanilla.
Light to medium body.
Fruity, with citrus and raisins. Vanilla and a hint of honey, with just a subtle trace of wood; a maple-syrup sweetness.
Short, creamy-smooth and slightly drying; a charming hint of blackcurrant lingers.

in brief… Simply smooth, easy to drink and very pleasing.
in a sentence… Smooth, sweet, richly fruity and rounded; just the right balance of complexity with plenty of rich, sweet flavour and a clean finish.
Clean and complex; a rich fruitiness (juicy red fruits and raisins, with citrus and boiled fruit sweets underpinning all) that suggests an older malt. Some soft fragrant notes too; scented leather, subtle sandalwood and vanilla. Adding water opens up the classic Speyside fruit-sweet aromas. Fresh, light and clean.
Fresh and easy to drink; spicy, then soft and pleasantly sweet throughout, with no rough edges. Fruity, with citrus and raisins. Vanilla and a hint of honey, with just a subtle trace of wood; a maple-syrup sweetness. Nutty too. A good spread of flavours. Reduced, still sweet, now attractively balanced.

"The nose has a mix of fruits including grapefruit melon and even banana, the taste is moreish, with the citrus and melon notes coming through. Warm and pleasant finish."
Dominic Roskrow, Malt Whisky Yearbook 2015, p.110
"Clean, fragrant, and quite fruity, with notes of tangerine, lemon, pineapple, and kiwi. There's a creamy-almost oily-vanilla maltiness on the palate that binds the fruit together. Gently dry, subtly spicy finish. A pleasing, unpretentious whisky."
John Hansell, The Whisky Advocate Fall 2007
"I am no King, or Queen for that matter, but I will say that the Singleton 12yr is a nicely balanced, well rounded Single Malt that (…) could easily be one’s great daily dram."
Allison Patel, September 2011, www.thewhiskywoman.wordpress.com
"The nose is spicy, with brittle toffee, vanilla, new leather and hazelnuts. Spicy and sweet on the smooth palate, with citrus fruits, more vanilla and fresh oak. Drying and pleasingly peppery in the finish."
Gavin D Smith, Malt Whisky Yearbook 2015, p.110
