This Singleton 17-year-old expression features a glorious combination of two different The Singleton of Glen Ord liquids: one finished in Mexican ex-mezcal casks, the other in second-fill Spanish sherry casks. This experimental interplay of delicious flavours reveals waves of rich fruit and aromatic spice, entwined in a tapestry of unconventional character. Each sip invites a single moment of pleasure, cast anew with every pour.
Nose
A mild, dry, and aromatic nose with subtle oriental spices, mezcal-like vegetal notes, and hints of raisin fruit — complex and delicately layered.
Body
Medium to full.
Palate
Smooth in texture and sweet and slightly salty in taste, with rich ginger notes lending weight to the savoury finish. A delicious, exciting and well-balanced dram.
Finish
Long, savoury and warmly spicy, with a shake of white pepper. A dash of water enhances flavours, while the balance of tastes remains unchanged.
