Join our signature tour to explore Talisker's adventurous spirit as the oldest working distillery on the Isle of Skye, Scotland.
Discover how the Isle of Skye influences the taste of Talisker in this 1 hour immersive tour and tasting. Hosted by one of our passionate guides, you'll journey through Talisker's history, flavour and production processes.
This experience concludes with 3 dram tastings of Talisker's award winning single malts.
Please note that children under the age of 8 are not permitted on tours due to health & safety reasons. Children over the age of eight are welcome with a valid ticket.
We’re pleased to be consulting with Euan’s guide to ensure that we provide disabled access information to give all our visitors the confidence to visit our distillery and enjoy the experience as part of our refurbishment. If you are unable to find a suitable booking time, then please do still visit our retail store and Campfire Bar where you will receive a warm welcome. Sample a dram or carefully-curated cocktail, whilst you browse our selection of Scottish apparel and gifts.
The Three Chimneys at Talisker, located on the waterfront outside the distillery, is open for lunch everyday apart from *Wednesdays & Thursdays when the restaurant is closed. *These days are subject to change. To book a table visit here.

By Car
The distillery sits on the shores of Loch Harport, around a 45-minute drive from Portree and roughly three hours west of Inverness.
The island is connected to mainland Scotland via the Skye Bridge, and the distillery is accessible via the A87 and the Isle of Skye road network. Roads on Skye can include narrow single-track sections, so visitors should allow extra travel time. Parking is available on-site. A local bus stop is located a short walk from the distillery, though services may be limited.
De distilleerderij heeft een Green Tourism Gold Award ontvangen als erkenning voor haar duurzaamheidsinitiatieven. Hiertoe behoren onder meer het gebruik van een biomassaketel om de uitstoot te helpen verminderen en voortdurende inspanningen om de energie-efficiëntie op het hele terrein te verbeteren.
Meer in het algemeen geldt dat het, als whisky die aan zee wordt gemaakt, onze verantwoordelijkheid is om de zee te helpen beschermen. Daarom is Talisker er trots op dat het momenteel Seawilding ondersteunt, het eerste gemeenschapsgedreven project in het Verenigd Koninkrijk voor het herstel van inheemse oesters en zeegras.
Gedurende drie jaar (2025-2028) investeren we 600.000 pond ter ondersteuning van projecten voor het herstel van inheemse oesters en zeegras in Loch Craignish en Loch Harport – precies die wateren waar de Talisker-distilleerderij al generaties lang gevestigd is en die helpen de omstandigheden te creëren waarin het zeeleven en de biodiversiteit zich kunnen herstellen OF helpen de omstandigheden te creëren waarin het zeeleven en de biodiversiteit zich in het komende decennium en daarna kunnen herstellen, terwijl deze lochs voor toekomstige generaties worden beschermd.
Talisker aims to make its visitor experiences accessible wherever possible. The Brand Home visitor building, which includes the bar, shop, and tasting experiences, is located on one level and offers step-free access. Accessible toilets are available on-site, and five designated accessible parking spaces are located close to the entrance with step-free routes into the building.
Areas of the working distillery are located on multiple floors and may have limited accessibility due to the historic layout of the building. Visitors with specific accessibility requirements are encouraged to contact the distillery ahead of their visit to ensure the best possible experience.
Guests planning to visit with a dog are advised to check current policies with the distillery before arrival.
