Ingredients

  • Rye whiskey
    50ml
  • Sweet vermouth
    20ml
  • Cherry Liqueur
    10ml
  • Absinthe
    5ml
  • Ice

  • Cocktail strainer

Bartender tip: Rinsing the glass with absinthe provides a subtle, herbal note, but if you prefer a more pronounced flavour, add 1-2 dashes directly into the drink.

STEP 01
Rinse
Add the absinthe to the glass and swirl around to "rinse", then discard the absinthe from the glass
STEP 02
Pour
Add the whiskey, vermouth and liqueur to a mixing glass filled with ice
STEP 03
Stir
Stir for around 20-30 seconds until well chilled
STEP 04
Strain
Strain into the prepared glass
