The brown stone building of the Cardhu distillery sits next to a white building. The building has a pitched slate roof and a red door. Attached to the brown stone wall is a gold metal sign with the words ‘Cardhu’.

Discover Cardhu

Cardhu has come a long way since its founding as a cottage business in 1811.

Its founders were John and Helen Cummings, who was affectionately known as ‘The First Woman of Whisky’. Later their daughter-in-law Elizabeth trademarked the Cardhu name, built a new distillery, and put the single malt well on its way to legendary status.

Cardhu is known for its distinctive notes of orchard pear, apple, and honey with a hint of spicy wood and traces of smoke.

Three bottles of Cardhu whisky sit in a row on a marble countertop. In front sits a wooden tray with the word ‘Cardhu’ carved into it. On the tray sits three dram glasses containing whisky, a whisky cocktail with ice and an orange slice.
A golden statue of Helen Cummings holding a red flag stands next to a golden statue of the Johnnie Walker 'Striding Man' wearing a rainbow jacket and top hat and holding a walking cane. Both the statues appear to be walking.
