Dalwhinnie

Discover Dalwhinnie
Dalwhinnie is both the highest and coldest working distillery in Scotland. Perched 1,164ft (355m) above sea level and framed by the stunning landscape of the Cairngorms National Park, it’s been crafting sophisticated Highland single malt Scotch since 1897.
Dalwhinnie is characterised by its fresh, elegant style. Its flavour profile is eclectic, with hints of honey, heather, and grape while its finish is dry with defined hints of vanilla throughout.
Dalwhinnie Distillery Production
Dalwhinnie Distillery makes good use of its extreme Highland environment. The process starts with water that comes from the highest mountain source of any malt whisky.
The water itself flows through the robust local peat and into the distillery’s burn, Allt an t’Sluic. Dalwhinnie is the only distillery allowed to use this source, which means with every sip you’re experiencing something truly unique.
Visit the Distillery
Nestled between the rolling Lowlands and the rugged Speyside, Dalwhinnie boasts one of the most beautiful sites of any Scottish distillery. Visitors who make the climb are rewarded with guided tours and tasting sessions (with some including chocolate pairings).
