Discover Brora

Brora is a celebration of restoration. Originally founded by the Marquess of Stafford in 1819, the distillery closed its gates in 1983.

After 38 years, Brora once again started welcoming visitors and producing single malt whisky in 2021 after a meticulous rebuild.

The newly-produced Brora reintroduced whisky drinkers to its ‘old Highland style’ flavour, which combines mild levels of peat smoke, rich oily texture, and maritime hints of brine and sea salt.

Visit the Distillery

After 38 years of silence, the newly renovated Brora Distillery has plenty of stories to tell. Hear them from expert guides on small-group tours that take you behind the scenes of the restoration project and the production techniques that blend old knowledge with new innovations.
