Pour the single malt whisky into a tumbler and enjoy neat or with ice.

A classic apple strudel harmoniously complements and enhances the apple flavor of The Singleton: peel and slice 5 to 6 apples. Mix with 1 tbsp lemon juice, 80 g sugar, 100 g grated almonds, 30 g raisins and a little cinnamon. Prepare a ready-made strudel dough and spread the apple mixture on top. Fold in the sides, roll up the dough, brush with a little butter and bake at 200 °C for 30 minutes.

Score the skin of the duck breast into a diamond shape and season well with salt and pepper. Place the duck breast skin-side down in an ovenproof pan and fry on both sides until golden brown. Then place the pan in the hot oven for 10-12 minutes. Cut into slices and serve with grapefruit chutney and strips of fruit or vegetables.
