Ingredients
- BourbonWe recommend Bulleit Bourbon50ml
- Demerara syrup1 part sugar dissolved over heat into 1 part water15ml
- Mint leaves
- Mint sprig
- Crushed ice

- Julep cup (or rocks glass)
- Muddler
- Spoon
Bartender tip: Gently muddle the mint—don’t crush it. You want to release the fragrant oils, not bitter flavours.
Method
STEP 01
Muddle
Muddle a handful of mint leaves in a julep cup.
STEP 02
Pour
Pour in the bourbon and syrup. Add crushed ice and churn with a spoon.
STEP 03
Garnish
Garnish with a mint sprig.
