Talisker Distillery & Visitor Centre

Set on the rugged shores of Loch Harport in Carbost on the Isle of Skye, Talisker Distillery is one of Scotland’s most iconic whisky destinations.

Founded in 1830 by the MacAskill brothers, it remains the oldest working distillery on Skye. Talisker is celebrated worldwide for its bold maritime character: smoky, peppery, and unmistakably shaped by the sea.

A visit to Talisker offers whisky lovers the chance to experience a truly elemental island single malt in the place it has called home for nearly two centuries.

Please note that Talisker Distillery will be in its Silent Season from 1–31 October 2026 (inclusive). As the distillery won't be operating during this period, our distillery tour experiences will be unavailable. However, we'd still love to welcome you to the Talisker Visitor Centre, where you can enjoy one of our guided whisky tasting experiences and discover the story of Talisker.
