A smoky twist on a classic stirred cocktail, the Peaty Burns combines Lagavulin with sweet vermouth, Bénédictine and Angostura bitters. The rich peat smoke is balanced by herbal sweetness and gentle spice, then brightened with a fresh lemon twist for an elegant, spirit-forward serve.

  • Lagavulin
    We recommend using your preferred bottle
    1.5oz
  • Sweet vermouth
    0.75oz
  • Benedictine
    0.25oz
  • Dashes of Angostura bitters

  • Lemon peel

  • Ice

  • Cocktail strainer

Bartender tip: Use large ice cubs for stirring. Large ice cubes melt more slowly, letting you chill the drink quickly while controlling dilution.

Method
STEP 01
Pour
Add all ingredients, except the lemon peel, into a mixing glass filled with ice
STEP 02
Stir
Stir for 10 seconds and then strain into a frozen coupe glass
STEP 03
Garnish
Garnish with a lemon peel twist
