Welcome to the new website and in particular to the Journal. From here I’ll bring you the news and stories from our distilleries and the wider world of Single Malt Scotch Whisky. I’ll also introduce you to some of the people who make this distinguished spirit, and how they work behind the scenes. We’ll talk about new releases and whisky events from all over the world. I’ll maybe even introduce some new serves and ways to enjoy Single Malts.

Introducing 2015's Special Releases

There may be only nine Special Releases in this year’s collection of rare Single Malt Scotch Whiskies, but there’s certainly enough to satisfy the most diverse tastes. The popular, unpeated 17 Year Old CAOL ILA™ and the heavy, majestic 12 Year Old LAGAVULIN™ occupy either end of the spectrum, with stars like the 25 Year Old DALWHINNIE™ finding a place to shine somewhere in between. Also worth a mention is the CLYNELISH™ Select Reserve – a whisky created especially for this collection by Master Blender Dr. Jim Beveridge, using a range of cask woods and ages from our oldest reserves to render a masterpiece of chocolate and orange notes. Whichever you choose, you’ll be the owner of something made all the more delicious for its rarity – with each numbered bottle one of just a few thousand in existence world wide.
