Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost & Rare

PORT DUNDAS

The Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare series explores very rare whiskies within the Johnnie Walker Blue Label reserves. Each release offers a fleeting opportunity to savour the depth of flavour of whiskies from “ghost” distilleries that have long-since closed, but whose spirit still lives on in the dwindling stocks of their maturing Scotch.

Handcrafted using just eight of the rarest whiskies from the unparalleled Johnnie Walker reserves, at the heart of this new release are exceptional whiskies from the “ghost” distillery of Port Dundas.

Explore the history

Built in 1811, Port Dundas became a whisky blending powerhouse, growing to become the largest distillery in Scotland until it closed its doors in 2010. Once a famous Grain Whisky distillery, Port Dundas shipped its distinct Scotch from Glasgow to ports worldwide for nearly 200 years.

Tasting notes

Creamy, wood notes from Port Dundas embrace the vanilla and soft smoke from the “ghost” whiskies of Cambus and original stocks of Brora.

Other very rare whiskies from Cameronbridge and Glenkinchie reveal notes of spiced apples alongside Clynelish, Dailuaine and Auchroisk, bringing aromas of peaches and berries.
