Dave Broom 2001, Whisky Magazine, Issue 20

The perfect

Strathmill works best served in a traditional whisky glass, neat or with a little water.

As a light whisky, Strathmill finds an ideal partner in sweet foods, like chocolate fondant or cheese cake.

More food pairings

Hand crafted chocolates like these from the Highland Chocolatier add a new dimension to Strathmill’s balance of sweet and dry.

Expert Reviews
Insights from some of the best in the business

"Quite reticent on the nose, with nuts, grass and a hint of ginger. Spicy vanilla and nuts dominate the palate. The finish is drying, with peppery oak."

Gavin D Smith, Malt Whisky Yearbook 2015, p.173

"Butterscotch and summer flowers mixed with lemon flu powder, and some powdery, talc-like notes on the nose, the palate has some apricot and peach fruits before a wave of salt and pepper and a spicy conclusion."

Gavin D Smith, Malt Whisky Yearbook 2015, p.173
