Join us at Oban Distillery on the final day of the West Highland Whisky Festival. Nestled between the mountains and the sea, Oban offers a rare opportunity to discover one of Scotland’s most characterful single malts in the centre of its historic harbour town.
In the heart of Warehouse No. 3, where the casks rest silently, you will be presented with a unique cask draw experience guided by one of our most experienced stillmen, who will share the expertise they have built over many years. Relax as they regale us with stories of their time at Oban, how the town supports their craft, and how the people who work at the distillery have shaped the spirit of Oban over the last two hundred and thirty-two years. Our guide will provide insights into how the wood of our carefully curated casks imparts flavours into our whisky, and how these exclusive whiskies represent Oban at its very finest.
This is Oban at its unfiltered best - join us for a one-off, exclusive tasting.
Please note that children under the age of 18 are not permitted on this experience.

Oban Distillery continues to honour traditional whisky-making practices while working toward a more sustainable future. The distillery uses traditional wooden worm tub condensers, a historic cooling method that relies on natural water circulation. These time-honoured production techniques reflect Oban’s commitment to small-scale craftsmanship and responsible operations.
Visitors will also find sustainability features across the site, including EV charging points and bicycle racks, helping to support more environmentally friendly travel options.
Oban Distillery aims to make its visitor experience as welcoming as possible. The team has worked with Euan’s Guide to provide clear accessibility information and support for visitors with additional requirements.
Accessible facilities are available where possible, though some areas of the historic building have limited space due to the distillery’s age and layout. Guests with accessibility needs are encouraged to contact the distillery in advance so the team can assist with planning their visit.
Tour groups are limited to 16 people per session, and for health and safety reasons children under the age of 8 are not permitted on tours.
Assistance dogs are permitted throughout the distillery and on tours.
Well-behaved dogs are also welcome in the visitor centre shop and bar areas, provided they remain on a short lead and are supervised at all times. Dogs are not permitted in production areas or on distillery tours.
Visitors are asked to ensure their dogs do not climb on furniture or disturb other guests. Due to the size of the visitor spaces, the number of dogs allowed inside may be limited at busy times.
