Approachable and rich. First polished wood and nuts (toasted hazelnut) dominate, then stewed fruits (baked apples), dried fruits (sweet dates), and soft brown sugar take over. Mossy too, after a while. With water, a sweeter, more direct Speyside character develops (pure pear drops!). Clean and dense. After a while, warm, dry, aromas, of pencil shavings or match-sticks.
Medium to full bodied.
Sweetness and crunchy nuts impress at first, then there’s a smooth, fruity Speyside richness to enjoy. Firm, with a balancing sweetness. Brown sugar and espresso coffee. Warming and pleasant. With water, still a pleasant texture. Light sweetness, then chewy and balanced by light acidity, with a good spread of flavours mid-palate.
Medium to long, elegantly drying and crisp, completed by a pleasant, sweetly nutty chew-ability.

The Singleton x Andu Masebo
Following an inspirational design trip to the Singleton’s birthplace in the Scottish Highlands, Masebo has designed and handmade a limited edition multifunctional design object that serves as a side table, drinks console or stool, becoming a versatile keepsake for the living space of a design-led home. Andu’s approach to design is informed by a fascination with story and functionality of the end use of the product; fusing history and materials with meaning and simplicity. In this case, oak becomes the primary material, inspired by the use of oak casks in the Singleton’s whisky-making process. Powder-coated steel brackets are finished in the Singleton’s signature teal colour, in the designer’s classic mixed material aesthetic.
Ahead of the retail launch, The Singleton gathered with Masebo and a group of his creative peers to iterate on the product’s design and craft their own unique keepsakes in a one-off workshop led by the designer at London’s ARAM gallery; a coming together to connect through craft and the art of making.
