Talisker Distillery is located on the Isle of Skye, about 3 hours drive west of Inverness. The rural, single carriageway roads on Skye can make driving a bit of a challenge for those not used to it, so we always recommend travelling with plenty of time. Public transport is limited, although there is a bus stop served by a local Skye bus route. The bus stop is about a two minute walk from the distillery. We always recommend using https://www.travelinescotland.com/ for up to date information.

The Talisker bar is open from 11:00 to 16:45 on the distillery's opening days (last orders at 16:30).

Accessible Toilets

Accessible toilets are available within our main Brand Home building. Our facilities include red cords and handrails. Unfortunately, we do not have accessible changing facilities.

Accessible Parking

We have five disabled parking spaces which are directly in front of our main entrance, the closest space is approximately 60 metres from the Brand Home building. There is a route without any steps or obstacles between these spaces and entering the building.

Accessible Areas

The Brand Home building is all on one level, this space includes our bar, retail area and our Made by the Sea and Cask Draw experiences. Our Distillery building which forms part of our Distillery Tour route is on multiple floors, the first floor is accessible via a lift, however our Upper Tun Room and some areas of the Still House are not accessible due to internal staircases in the older part of the building. Please do let us know if you have any specific requirements at the time of your tour booking and a member of staff will be in touch.

Children

Please note that we can accommodate a maximum of 16 people per group (advanced booking required) and children under the age of 8 are not permitted on tours due to health & safety reasons.
